Seeking Unpublished Work on Leader Group Prototypicality

Seeking Unpublished Work on Leader Group Prototypicality

Dear Colleague,

We, Nik Steffens, Katie Munt, Alex Haslam, Michael Platow, Daan van Knippenberg are currently conducting a meta-analysis of the relationship between leaders, group prototypicality and indicators of their effectiveness. We have already identified and analyzed published work and we are now seeking any unpublished work including unpublished data or manuscripts (e.g., work in press or in progress), book chapters not listed on common electronic databases, dissertations, and conference papers.

To be included in the meta-analysis, studies need to include a quantitative assessment of the relationship between a leader¿s prototypicality of a group (by manipulating or measuring the extent to which the leader is prototypical of a collective) and at least one indicator of effective leadership (e.g., perceived leader effectiveness, leader endorsement, follower performance, job satisfaction, trust in the leader). We include correlational, longitudinal, and experimental examinations of these relationships.

If you have unpublished research that meets these criteria, we would greatly appreciate if you could send us a basic report manuscript and/or data (along with information summarising methods, sample characteristics, statistics) to the following email address (k.munt@uq.edu.au) by 14 April 2017.

We hope you can help. We apologize for any potential cross-posting of this call and look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Nik, Katie, Alex, Michael, Daan
